Sign of Fours – Contemporary String Quartet

Sign of Four is a contemporary string quartet formed in 2022 by Shenzo Gregorio, Daniel Drieberg, Mardae Selepak, and Jude Iddison. Their innovative and intricate original compositions and interpretations explore the sonic possibilities of combining violins, guitars, mandolin, and octave viola with lush vocal harmonies. Sign of Four draw from classical, folk, jazz, and rock foundations in a seamless flow of musical creativity, taking audiences on an exhilarating, and inspiring musical joumey-.-from Vivaldi to ACDC, Reinhardt, Piazzolla, Sting and beyond.

Shenzo Gregorio brings decades of musical experience and innovation through his cross­ genre improvisational and multi-instrumental skills. A master of the violin and guitar, Shenzo also showcases his virtuosic, idiosyncratic creations on the octave viola.

Daniel Drieberg is a prize winning WAAPA jazz graduate with exquisite multi­ instrumentalist skills on violin, mandolin, and vocals. He combines these with an infectious energy that enlivens his musical collaborators and delights audiences.

Mardae Selepak is a vibrant young classical guitar maestro whose musicality transcends genres. His sublime compositions and vocals bring an added grace and depth to Sign of Four’s arrangements and performances.

Jude Iddison is a classical WAAPA graduate and is currently completing a master’s in violin improvisation Her lifelong fascination and irresistible curiosity with a diverse range·of musical styles is highlighted in her sensitive, versatile, and expansive violin playing and eclectic compositions.
