“Fairy Queen – The Carnival is a carnivalesque reimagining of the original English semi-opera by Henry Purcell, inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, incorporating opera, circus, dance and theatre.

Bringing some of the State’s most experienced musicians, theatre and dance artists to the south coast to share their talent with Denmark’s vibrant arts community and mentor emerging artists in Baroque music, costume design, choreography and immersive theatre.

A Midsummer’s Eve Costume Ball on December 22, 2023 will showcase a selection of scenes, songs, costumes and dances to whet Denmark community’s appetite for involvement and fundraise for the big vision performance in a big-top circus tent set on the banks of the Kwoorabup River in the summer of 2025.”
