02/09/2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Injury Matters and the City of Albany are hosting an informative step-by-step grant writing workshop for health professionals working in community development. Aimed at first-time grant writers and those looking for additional guidance in the grants process, this grant-writing workshop will go over the techniques needed for a successful submission. We will also hear from the Albany Public Library who were successful recipients of an Injury Matters Stay On Your Feet® falls prevention grant.

This workshop will cover:

  • • how to break down grant guidelines
  • • how to plan your project, including goal setting and evaluation
  • • how to effectively demonstrate a need for your community
  • • the grant evaluation process
  • • what a successful grant proposal looks like
  • • what Injury Matters looks for when awarding grants

This session aims to:

  • • Increase knowledge of how to write a successful grant
  • • Increase skills in how to plan and evaluate a community grant project
  • • Increase awareness of the lasting positive impact of government grants to the wider community

This workshop training is free, but registration is compulsory. Morning tea will be provided.
