The Kimberley has some of the largest intact natural landscapes left in the world. It is also a culturally rich region, home to a living Aboriginal culture that is many tens of thousands of years old, where many Traditional Owners have a deep connection to Country.
But fracking companies are the closest they’ve ever been to turning the region into an industrial wasteland. So we teamed up with Kimberley Traditional Owners, climate scientists and economists from The Australia Institute to produce this new film.
‘Fighting Giants’ is a rallying call to defend so many things that West Australians value: the stunning, intact landscapes of the Kimberley, our fragile climate, and Aboriginal culture and land.
